I’m having cataract surgery on April 12. I’d rather be in NYC with you, Virginia! Have a wonderful time. Thanks for passing on my bus tour idea. See if you can get one of the NYC pigeons to drive the bus for the rest of us. He or she will know the way!

Hi, Alicia — I can just imagine the fun you and your kids had with those chickens! Thank you so much for sharing my book and letting me know about your creative approach to doing so. Any chance you’ve posted photos of the event on Facebook? I’d love to see them and, with your permission, show them to others, especially the illustrator, Mark Fearing. All good wishes to you and your readers!

I’m so thrilled to have found your site and happy to have found your books on Kindle. Summer Begins was one of my favorite books as a young adult and was one of the books that inspired me to become a writer myself.

Oh, my, Jenny, thank you for your very kind words! How wonderful to know you found Summer Begins an inspiration to your own writing. Yes, the YA novels all have a new life on Kindle. The wonders of modern technology!

    Hello!

I am currently studying musical theatre in London and have chosen to do sue’s monologue from “Our Little Secret”.

Is there a way I could read the full play?
    Much appreciated!

      Hello, Leah!

I’m delighted that you’ve chosen to do “Our Little Secret.” That’s the name of the monologue itself, not a full play. The monologue appears in an ensemble piece that IS a full play, “Family Matters.” The script is available from Dramatic Publishing Company, https://www.dramaticpublishing.com/family-matters. Since Dramatic Publishing does have distribution in London, you should be able to order a copy.

Thank you for your interest in my work, and all good wishes to you on your own work!

    Hi Sandra!!

My name is Emerson Eveleth, I am studying musical theatre in college and I am doing a scene from Sunday, Sunday written by you obviously. I am trying to read the full play for my character analysis and development! I can’t find a PDF anywhere, and I don’t have time to wait for a paperback, I was wondering if you are able to help me out, or know any place that is able to provide this for me!

Thank you so much for your help, and for writing a great play!

    All the best,

    Emerson Eveleth

Hello, Emerson — Thank you for your interest in “Sunday, Sunday.” The play is published by Dramatic Publishing Company, and they’re the only ones authorized to distribute copies. Here’s the link: https://www.dramaticpublishing.com/sunday-sunday. They’re very fast about shipping plays, but the holiday weekend may slow things down a bit. All good wishes on your scene!

Hello! I’ve heard good things about your adaptation of The Princess and the Goblin and want my children to see it. Do you have any idea when people put on productions of your plays? I wish we could find a production nearby!

Hello, Bede — Thank you so much for your interested in “The Princess and the Goblin.” I’m afraid I’m not always aware of where it’s being produced because Dramatic Publishing Company does not indicate all productions on its website. The best I can do is offer you their webpage and, when productions are listed, you’ll know as much as I do! https://www.dramaticpublishing.com/the-princess-and-the-goblin-pk3000. In the meantime, perhaps you and your children can read it together and have fun acting it out. If there’s a company doing children’s theatre in your area, feel free to suggest it to them! Again, my thanks for your interest. Sandy
